One secret: Ronan can bring things out of his dreams.

Ronan is one of the raven boys — a group of friends, practically brothers, searching for a dead king named Glendower, who they think is hidden somewhere in the hills by their elite private school, Aglionby Academy. From Neil Abramson, USA Today bestselling author of Unsaid, comes a riveting novel that explores the complex connection between humans and animals.

Veterinarian Samantha Lewis and her team are dedicated to providing a sanctuary for unwanted, abused, and abandoned dogs in New York City. But every day it gets harder to operate her no-kill shelter. Sam is already at her breaking point when she learns of an unidentified, dangerous virus spreading through their neighborhood. The medical community can only determine that animals are the carriers. Amid growing panic and a demand for immediate answers, suspicion abruptly falls on dogs as the source. Soon the governor is calling in the National Guard to enforce a quarantine--no dog may leave the area.

Samantha knows from her own painful history that, despite the lack of real evidence against the dogs, a quarantine may only be the beginning. As questions about the source of the virus mount and clash with the pressure for a politically expedient resolution, Sam is forced to make life-altering choices. She finds allies in a motley crew of New Yorkers--a local priest, a troubled teen, a smart-mouthed former psychologist, and a cop desperate to do the right thing--all looking for sanctuary from their own personal demons. But the person Sam needs the most to unravel the mystery of the virus and save the dogs is the last one she'd ever want to call on--because contacting him will mean confronting the traumatic past she has fought so hard to escape.

Inclement Gods: Cover Reveal

Welcome to the Inclement Gods Cover Reveal
Inclement Gods
Gods Inc Series
Book Two
Gabriele Russo

Fiery Seas Publishing
June 2017

About the Book:

When you live in a world pullulating with gods, can you truly be an atheist? Well, yes…if you know a way to get rid them.

Mysantheos, a fanatic atheist at the head of a powerful lobby/terrorist organization, has created a weapon able to kill gods. All he needs is a disruptive figurehead to attract the masses. Goblin, who has just tried to supplant Queen Louhi as CEO of Gods Incorporated, has been deemed the right kind of unworthy. Mysantheos breaks him out of the Queen’s prison and the godslaughter begins.

As the divine bodies pile up, panicked gods blame the CEO Queen for Goblin’s escape. Resentment builds in the company and violent factions start pushing for the extermination of the human race. Will Queen Louhi’s Nerd Squad, a group of angry gods, and Richard (a down-on-his-luck private eye),  manage to find Mysantheos in time to prevent what promises to be the bloodiest conflict between men and god ever?

About the Author

Gabriele Russo, AKA Lucie-Gabrielle Jolicoeur-Rousseau, was born in Quebec City amidst a family of book lovers – her father had dreamed of being a writer and both of her brothers are published authors.
Since she earned her Bachelor’s in History, it was no surprise (except to her) that she ended up working in restaurants, eventually owning two, which almost drove her mad. She sold them and was nursed back to pseudo-sanity by Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett.

That’s when she answered the family calling and decided to write. Armed with her ideas for the Gods Inc. series she went back to the University and got her Master’s in Creative Writing.

She now lives with her husband in Culpeper, Virginia, where she divides her time between painting, ripping apart and reconstructing her recently bought historical home, playing tennis and, of course, writing more books.

The Missing Kennedy: Rosemary Kennedy and the Secret Bond of Four Women

The Missing Kennedy:
Rosemary Kennedy and the Secret Bonds of Four Women

"Throughout her childhood, Elizabeth Koehler-Pentacoff frequently visited Rosemary Kennedy, President John F. Kennedy's sister. Why? Koehler-Pentacoff's aunt, Sister Paulus Koehler, a Franciscan nun, was Rosemary's devoted caregiver at St. Coletta in Jefferson, Wisconsin for fifteen years and her driver and travel companion for over thirty. The resulting book, which will be will be the first about this mysterious Kennedy, chronicles Rosie's life along with that of the author's aunt, and delves into the similarities between the two families. It includes more than 100 photos, many of them never before seen private, Kennedy quotes from the author's interviews, and anecdotes about Rosemary and her famous family. The book delves into Rosemary's misdiagnosed condition, why her father sought an experimental brain surgery for her without his wife's knowledge, how he kept this fact hidden from the rest of his family for twenty years, and what Rosemary was actually like after her lobotomy. And it will show how Rosemary was the catalyst behind the Special Olympics and related legislation from 1960 to the present. The Kennedys considered the author's aunt to be a member of their family. Through the author's relationship with Rosemary, Sister Paulus, and her other relatives, the author discovered how family, faith, and silence intertwine to strengthen or destroy our relationships, no matter our status or circumstance in life, whether one comes from in a rich, extraordinary family or a poor, ordinary one."

The words inked onto the page of the mysterious Book of Shadows remains black and Elena must return to Dragonia Academy to discover their true meaning.

Upon her return to the magnificent castle she has to face a challenge of a different kind, keeping her boyfriend Lucian McKenzie, the Prince of Tith and love of her life, away from the dangerous new student, Paul Sutton. As a Wyvern, Paul has made it his mission to claim Elena as his rider but he is proving to be more perilous than at first glance.

Everyone knew that Wyverns were bad news, and just as evil as the darkness that lurked inside Blake Leaf, the Rubicon forced to fight against his inner nature every day. But Elena can see a small light lurking in the darkness, a destiny still unfulfilled; to prove that Wyverns can be claimed.

Ruger Tails: Ruger Finds a Home by Kristin George

Ruger Tails: Ruger Finds a Home by Kristin George

*I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review & opinion*

Ruger Tails: Ruger Finds a Home is based on a true story of a Pit Bull rescued by two unsuspecting dog lovers. Kristin and Ben went on vacation to Sarasota, Florida in the summer of 2012. They decided they wanted a dog and what better place to find one than in the beautiful state of Florida. After looking at all of the dogs in the pound, Kristin and Ben knew that Ruger was the right dog for them. Ruger was a ten-month-old Pit Bull mix and Kristin and Ben had an instant connection with him. He seemed like the sweetest dog, and he was, but Kristin and Ben didn’t know what they had gotten themselves into. Ruger was a high-energy, free-spirited dog with much love and affection to give. This also meant that Ruger got into a lot of trouble. The first years with Ruger were unlike anything Kristin and Ben could have ever predicted. Ruger got into more trouble than ever imaginable, doing things that puzzled everyone, but looking back we can finally laugh at his unique personality and the way he chose to express himself. Ruger Tails: Ruger Finds a Home is a story about Ruger’s huge personality and will take you on a new adventure in each story, exploring all of Ruger’s silly behavior. We hope you fall in love with Ruger the way that Kristin and Ben have and grow to feel a special bond with him through the funny situations Ruger gets himself into.

The Bourbon Kings by J.R. Ward

The Bourbon Kings by J.R. Ward

"For generations, the Bradford family has worn the mantle of kings of the bourbon capital of the world. Their sustained wealth has afforded them prestige and privilege—as well as a hard-won division of class on their sprawling estate, Easterly. Upstairs, a dynasty that by all appearances plays by the rules of good fortune and good taste. Downstairs, the staff who work tirelessly to maintain the impeccable Bradford facade. And never the twain shall meet.

For Lizzie King, Easterly’s head gardener, crossing that divide nearly ruined her life. Falling in love with Tulane, the prodigal son of the bourbon dynasty, was nothing that she intended or wanted—and their bitter breakup only served to prove her instincts were right. Now, after two years of staying away, Tulane is finally coming home again, and he is bringing the past with him. No one will be left unmarked: not Tulane’s beautiful and ruthless wife; not his older brother, whose bitterness and bad blood know no bounds; and especially not the ironfisted Bradford patriarch, a man with few morals, fewer scruples, and many, many terrible secrets.

As family tensions—professional and intimately private—ignite, Easterly and all its inhabitants are thrown into the grips of an irrevocable transformation, and only the cunning will survive."

I want to start off by saying that I've never read any of J.R. Ward's other books. The covers have always drawn my attention but I have never actually picked one up to read. This being said, I happened to pick this one up & take the time to read the synopsis. It sounded like something I'd really enjoy.

Flash forward to one day when I was trying to fill the void after finishing up one of my prior reads. I decided to take a look around on an app that my local library is a part of: Overdrive (Informative post coming soon).  I found this book listed on the app & decided to 'check it out'.

And Oh My Gosh! This book ended up being WAY more than I had expected. Don't worry- it's not a bad thing. Let me explain: I was, more or less, expecting a book full of very little other than romance between Lizzie & Tulane. What I got though... an assorted array of scandal & 'soap opera' like shenanigans. There were characters I loved & others that I hated. Questions were raised & I just did not want to put the book down.

{One of the Best!!}

I Have a Confession...

I want to start this post by saying that this is one of the hardest things I've ever shared with anyone. I've debated (for quite a while) on if I even wanted to throw this one 'secret' out into the universe. For the longest while, the answer was 'No way!'. As time continues to pass however, I'm beginning to believe that the only way to work through this specific problem is to share it with you guys.

Please be delicate with me about this. It's something I'm not proud of & only a few close friends are aware of. Okay... Are you ready to be shocked?
