"Milo is just your average twelve-year-old kid. He lives next-door to an ex-con wizard. He's got a sad single dad, a stepdad who is basically Indiana Jones, and a Goth stepsister. And he's the only "normal" person in a wacky, crazy world in which the hits just keep on coming. Evil (but super cute) cats? Check. A babysitter who's younger than him and also an incompetent witch? Check. Chocolate cows grazing in his living room? That too.

Milo would really love to be left alone to skateboard and eat pizza, his two main life goals, but circumstances are constantly, hilariously, absurdly against him."

This novel may not have been a 5-star read for me but I can honestly say that I believe it will be a hit with it's targeted audience (younger readers). Now, don't get me wrong. There were still many parts of this graphic novel that I thoroughly enjoyed. None of the stories were terrible & I appreciate the appropriate humor that it holds. The artwork is also very enjoyable. Bright & eye grabbing.

The characters that we're introduced to in this volume are wonderful. Everyone from the main character to the "villains" were interesting. I also highly appreciate the fact that Milo's family is indeed blended & wonderful. I mean, his step-sister even likes spending time with him!

I would recommend putting in a Pre-Order for this graphic novel if you have kids in your life who are of reading age. I also recommend sitting down & reading it together. Who knows, you may find it just as lovely as they do.

Till Next Time 👋🏻
